SALES SECRETS
Sales Emails - Volume or not?
Most people think that to sell ads you have to send lots of cold emails.
I disagree. Instead you should hyper-target and hyper-personalize your campaigns. Here's why:
So everyone agrees sending cold-emails only works if the email is relevant right?
Well I think to be relevant you should try to understand who you're sending a message to. And that takes time.
Sure mass cold-emails can work, but i think it feels sloppy. Being relevant is key.
This means sending a message to:
The right contact person.
At the right time.
With the right messaging.
So for example, DON'T email the CTO (wrong person), after a 50% layoff round on Christmas (brutal timing for a round of layoffs lol).
But how do you create relevant messaging?
Try to understand who your recipient is. Be clear on the value-prop / why you're reaching out to the person.
Understand why or give a reason for why you're reaching out to this person right now. (e.g. I just saw you sponsor newsletter X, or I saw you raised a seed round etc.).
Then you create a cold-email that follows AIDA.
Attention.
Interest.
Desire.
Action.
If you understand who you're contacting and why (aka having relevant messaging), you can do this easily. It just takes time but should result in more effective cold-emails. And hopefully as such, more sales.
