I've got a $30,000 newsletter problem and i need your help……
I started this newsletter a few months ago. With little effort it has:
340 Readers
Generated $5,000+ in consulting revenue.
Been kinda fun!
But i let it die. It's doing nothing currently... but it's still growing.
So thank you for joining!
I've come to realise that personal brand and reputation compounds over time.
This means time favours those who are putting themselves out there, increasing your surface area of luck.
I'm going all in on my personal content. You can’t outsource your reputation, your words, and your thoughts. So why do i have a $30,000 problem?

Now because I’m not the wealthiest out there, if you’re interested in consulting from me and receiving harsh, critical and specific feedback on your newsletter operations and sales advice. Reply to this email if you are open to being coached. I’m doing consulting because otherwise i will be bankrupt from this.
Now this was a really short email so let me give you a taste of what to expect on Mondays…
Sales Tip of the Day
Given that everyone in Q4 Is scrambling to get marketers to allocate budget to your newsletter for next year.
You're going to need to start sending, more than you already are. A shit ton of cold-emails (still highly targeted). This can be hard, so i went through over 10,000+ of my recent cold emails i've sent to let you know the 3 common mistakes of sending cold emails.
Mistake 1 - Poor Prospect List
Winning sales starts with actually reaching out to people who are a fit. Your a Women's Beauty Newsletter? Cool why are you messaging a Crypto company's Head of Marketing. That makes as much sense as thinking pinapple on pizza is a bad thing (yes i said it).
The solution to this is having your lists for outreach be curated based on specific triggers. So have specific reasons for reaching out.
Just because they work at a cool company and have the right job title, isn't always a sufficient enough trigger. Make sure any emails are genuine.
Focus on the specific problems your newsletter solves and why it's relevant.
Mistake 2 - "Me Me Me, We We We == I don't care"
Be careful of having your messaging be overly self-centred. "I" and "We" turns people off, shift the focus to the advertiser and their needs!
Mistake 3 - I am dumb, dumb down to my level please.
I'm writing this to be at a grade 4 level of reading. Most people don't like reading above a grade 3 to 4 level, that's facts.
Using confusing jargon like buzzwords alienate people. Just simplify your language. Explain your solution in layman's terms.
Dumb yo messages down! I reccomend using Hemmingway to write your content, it's amazing.
Key Takeaway: Simplicity and relevance are crucial. The effort you put into crafting your emails reflects the responses you'll receive..
Deal of the Week
Not neccessarily a deal. But interesting.
The previous founder of Duuce the newsletter marketplace that sold to Scott Oldford. Has just started a social media marketing agency. Now this isn't inherently interesting. But more and more there are agencies spinning up offering services for flat fees, as opposed to % of spend or revenue.
Newsletters are already seeing this with Matt McGarry and Gunnar Holm offering phenomenal growth services. Xk per month and you get a personal growth wizard.
Curious to think what other industries/problems this model can be put onto that would make sense? What do you think?

GIVEAWAY
Template to protect yourself…
As part of every wednesdays newsletter i will be giving away something that you can use to improve your newsletter sales.
Now picture this, a truly frustrating moment.
You have all been there.
You ran the ad, and you are waiting on payment. Weeks pass and nothing happens!
To prevent this from happening you can use an Insertion Order Agreement (IO) which basically sais:
advertiser pays you on time :handshake: you deliver the ad as promised.
It's not a super strong legal way to protect yourself but:
It reassures advertisers more so than just "trust me bro"
Can be used by you to follow up more aggresively with larger clients/teams
Here is a link to download a simple two page templaet you can use for all your operations:
